A catch-all feature that is enabled for a specific e-mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. In other words, if you remove an email address and somebody still sends an email message to it, or to any mistyped address under the very same domain, you’ll get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be vital if you are running a business, for example. Since you may start receiving unsolicited bulk messages, you can use the catch-all option with email filters so as to receive only authentic emails in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting
Configuring a catch-all e-mailbox will be surprisingly easy in case you have a shared hosting with us. You can enable this feature through our powerful, yet easy-to-work-with Email Manager, which is an essential part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll administer your web hosting account. You will see all the email addresses that you’ve set up shown in alphabetical order and on the right-hand side of each one there will be a small-size "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly notify you if a specific mailbox receives all the emails pertaining to a given domain name or not. With a single mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this option at any time. In case there’s activated email forwarding or if some other mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a specific domain name, you will receive a warning message from our system. The latter will not disable/replace anything automatically or without your permission.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
A catch-all address can be set up with a few clicks of the mouse if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server with our company. The hosting account will be administered through our custom-built Hepsia Control Panel and you will be able to set up mailboxes with any domain name hosted there. To activate the catch-all functionality for a given mailbox, you will need to click on the sign with the same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox. Deactivating the feature can be done in the same way and will not require more than one click either. In case the catch-all functionality has already been enabled for a specific domain, you will get a warning note. The same goes if the mailbox that you’d like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never deactivate or change any feature automatically.
