If you wish to transfer a domain from one registrar company to another, you’ll need a special transfer authorization code, which may be called by multiple names – an EPP authorization code, an AuthInfo code, a domain password, and so on. All these names denote one and the same thing – a code that the domain owner obtains from the current domain name registrar and gives to the new one during the order procedure. Without an authentic code, a transfer procedure cannot be started and this is one of the safety measures against unapproved transfer attempts used with all generic and with most country-code extensions. For better security, the code comprises of digits and/or special characters and is case-sensitive, so in case you’d like to transfer one of your domain names, you have to present the new domain registrar with the correct code.
EPP Transfer Protection in Shared Hosting
You can get the EPP transfer authentication code for any domain that you have registered through our company with only a few clicks from the exact same Hepsia Control Panel that you’ll use to administer your shared hosting account. Once you visit the Registered Domains section, you will find all your domain names conveniently shown in alphabetical order. If some TLD extension supports transfers between registrar companies with an EPP transfer code, you will notice an EPP button to the right of the given domain name. If you click on that button, the code will be sent to the email associated with the Registrant contact for the given domain. If needed, you can edit the contact info, including the email address, without needing to leave this section of the Control Panel, in case the currently entered email address isn’t valid any longer.
EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Servers
You can easily get the transfer code for any domain registered under a semi-dedicated server account if you would like to transfer it away. This can be achieved through the same Control Panel, via which you manage your account, so you won’t have to go through different systems. All you need to do is visit the domain management section of the Control Panel and click on the EPP button for the domain name that you’d like to transfer, as long as its extension supports transfers with such a code. Our system emails all codes automatically to the domain name owner’s email listed in the domain name’s WHOIS record, so in case the email address that is currently entered is obsolete, you can change it with a couple of clicks without even leaving the Control Panel’s domain management section.
